newbie question about II

If I now make a reservation for aug 08 now using star options.

Can I later (Jan/feb) still decide to bank that reservation with II.

Or
Can I cancel that reservation and make a reservation somewhere else
with the staroptions?

Hi Sunil -

You cannot deposit a reservation made with Staroptions at all - you can only deposit exactly what you own.

Once you deposit a week with II, it's gone and you can't get it back.

You can cancel a Staroptions exchange and try for another one, but if you don't make your reservation right at 8 mos. (the earliest allowed) it may not be available later. In fact, if you haven't made your Staroptions exchange for Aug. 8th yet, you should do it ASAP, because you are past the 8 mo. mark, which would have been Dec. 8th.

sorry I meant aug 2009.

The eight month period for week 34 hasn't come up yet.

I've read all the faqs and I'm sure most of the info is there.
But sometimes I just can't seem to find the answer to my questions.

So if I make a reservation with staroptions at the 8 month point, could I cancel it
next month and then deposit a week from my home resort into II.

I'm just trying to understand what my options are if I need to change my plans for
the summer.

Dec. 8, 2008 to Aug. 8, 2009 is 8 mos. - You are already past the 8 mo. mark.

Yes, you can cancel a Staroption exchange, and deposit a week from your home resort in II.
