HI
Glad I found this group last year, had purchased hilton parc soliel on the tour but found tug and cancelled the contract
We are looking into resales and are a bit confused
We really like hilton, but are wondering if a real cheap deal on ebay for another property is better.
We like the the flexability of hilton
Any suggestions
Thanks
Eileen

There's no one answer. Depending on a person's needs one type of timeshare might be perfect and then horrible for another person. There are some good deals on eBay and some equally good deals on this board too. I happen to own an EOY lock-off timeshare in Tahoe and I've gotten some great trades with it.

As you've probably learned here one of the keys to a successful exchange is to be very flexible.

If you have to go away during any of a handful of weeks during the year then what may be best is a timeshare during one of those weeks at a resort you'd be happy going to each year (you would then eliminate the need to join an exchange company). In fact there are some here who preach that you should only buy where you want to go.

My suggestion would be to hold off on buying anything; instead I'd say you should try renting a TS. As long as you intend to buy resale, the good deals that are here today will most likely be there in the years to come.

If you want a lot of variety to your vacations, then buy a cheap timeshare that trades well or buy into a points system like Wyndham, HGVC, Worldmark, Bluegreen, etc.
