I want to exchange into a good RCI resort in New York. I'm looking at

Peek'n Peak's Greenwood Forest

Tamarack Club

Please help me choose the best one for overall quality of accommodations, golf, and general sightseeing, eating out etc!
Thanks! I'm unfamiliar with the area, but want to visit!
Thanks!

It's been a long time since our trip to Peek 'n Peak's so things may have changed in 25 years. This resort is primarily a hotel venue that had only around a dozen timeshare units. They were nice 2br and fully equipped. Ours had a Jenn-Air stove and about any small appliance you would need. There was a daily paper delivery and even games and puzzles in the unit. This resort is really in the boonys near the Pennsylvania border so don't expect much in the way of groceries available (they did have a gas station and small store on site). It's an hour or 2 trip to Niagara Falls and there's lots of wineries near lake Erie (Merrit was our fav.). There is a state park not far and an Indian reservation not too far away. Not sure if I wrote a review or if they even have them from the old website.
Don't know about golf but not many restaurants around nearby. Amish country in the area.

I was wanting to stay somewhere near Western Pennsylvania, so that my husband could visit relatives. And he’s a golfer, but I don’t want to be in a dead zone either. Thank you so much for your input.

If those two are your only choices my pick would be the Tamarack club. Ive never stayed at either place. Tamarack is newer. It is also in a thriving multi-season town that has lots of interesting shops and things to do.

Oh, no. I'm open to suggestions too. I was looking at these two because they were less than 200 miles from my husband's family, and we'd like to use a week of timeshare and then visit them. I've been to Niagara Falls, but I haven't spent any time in west NY.
Thanks for your input!

Stayed at Peek n Peak about 10 years ago. Course was excellent and has hosted Korn Ferry tour. Unit was fine. A good public course can be found in Corey,PA about 15 miles away.

Tamarack is on the site of a ski area and golf course. Casino in Salamanca NY and as i said Ellicottville is a thriving tourist town/ski/golf village.
