Another TS vocab tip - you are asking about renting out your week or renting your unit. If you sell it, you will be transferring ownership to someome else. BTW - you would get about $20K if you sold it.

Rent...I'm not ready to eat $40k. We already ate $8k on an architect for an expansion on our home that turned out to cost WAY too much.

So I just made a reservation with Starwood:
July 4-11 for the studio &
July 11-18 for the 1 BD
Saturday check-in.

Seems like good times...now to figure out how to sell this. Will dig more on the site before I pester too many of you about it.

Buyer beware: AA is about to raise their Hawaii tickets to 45k so you would need to redeem soon to get the 35k rate on AA and UAL which basically owns the Bay Area to Hawaii routes does not transfer well with SPG, but the desired result still can be done with some effort.

In September, Delta's new "three tier" award levels will also go in effect. SkySaver coach now costs 40k-90k miles. First class is 75k to 180k.

Hawaiian Air also adjusted their mileage chart up.

All these are talked about at length at FlyerTalk or the Travel Info section of Tug.

The conventional wisdom, which I agree with, is to burn 'em as you get 'em.

The Amex Plat 2 for 1 domestic ticket is the way to go.
