New Vistana Reservation: Changes in reservation numbering

Just FYI.

I just made a new reservation at WKORV-N a few minutes ago and noticed two interesting things:

1.) The confirmation number during the reservation process now had a 9 digit Marriott number, rather than the typical 6 digit Vistana number. The email with the confirmation had a different 8 digit confirmation number.

2.) During the reservation process I was offered some special deals, including a discounted offer from Hilton Grand Vacations. I thought it was odd to get an offer from the competition.
 
Hi Henry - I just tested this, and nothing has changed for me. The 9-digit number is your Bonvoy number, not the reservation number. However, they are still issuing 2 reservation numbers when you make a reservation: 8-digit = Marriott, and 6-digit = Vistana. They will email the Marriott confirmation to you, and you have to download the Vistana confirmation from your Acct.

Yes - The owner's website has a lot of annoying pop-ups/advertising now!

Just a heads up that some of the Bonvoy confirmation numbers are now 10 numbers and letters...

Haven't seen it on my timeshare bookings yet, but I'm sure it's probably coming, to add another level of potential confusion
