Hey Dahiana - the email I used was jalvarez@hgvc.com. Jari did not respond but when I called today they told me an email was received so I think that is a good email address.

I have emailed the person who handled the closing, the sales lady and Alvarez. So far not a peep from anyone. I guess they want to make me sweat.

Good luck, just get a certified letter sent within the time frame allowed. Based on my experience don’t expect acknowledgement but I believe the emails do help.

The developer is under no responsibility to inform you of receipt, or progress on processing a rescission. They are only required by law to process all timely requests that have been mailed within the allowed time frame.

You may also use jari.alvarez@hgv.com. I got confirmation my contract was rescinded this morning and the email form was first.last@hgv.com.

My experience was I mailed a letter and copied it by email to Jari and the local rep. After tracking showed it was received I waited a few days and called HGVC member services in Orlando. They were actually reluctant to tell me anything which surprised me. Would not tell me the status only that the letter was received. I sent an email to the local rep who handled the closing and she replied with a very nice note confirming the contract was rescinded. About a week total time. I assume it will take a while to be refunded.

Does anyone know what the typical time is to get a refund of closing costs?

There is a TUG member named Seth Nock who is a broker for resales at Hilton (and other properties), and of course there is always eBay, where I buy almost all of my timeshares.

Your 2019 started out pretty great.

Good for you! I am so happy that you rescinded and can make a more informed decision. Hilton is a great product, and you will find a resale that will fit your vacation needs. There is a TUG member named Seth Nock who is a broker for resales at Hilton (and other properties), and of course there is always eBay, where I buy almost all of my timeshares.

Your 2019 started out pretty great.
Purchased most on ebay too but used Judi Kozlowski for a recent one and was happy with her services.
