So I recently did a HIVC tour at orange lake in Orlando Florida. I feel like I got a good deal but then again who knows. Internet searching has lead me here and I’m hoping I can get some good info on how to go about my next move, either keeping or canceling in the next 10 days.
What I purchased was 40k points @8.8k, paying 156 a month until the loan is paid full ( which I plan on paying off right away) my service fee is 350 a year. What’s this looking like to you guys. Any help is much appreciated

The general advice you'll get here is to rescind ASAP. You can get a better ownership on the resale market for little to nothing. The annual MF will be the same (well, probably higher, because you'll buy a better/bigger unit)

Best wishes, and Welcome to TUG!

Yeahhh go ahead and rescind that and research before plunking down (wasting 8K) actually it’s around 16K if you go by their loan terms. Rescind that HIVC and look at other systems. You can probably do something better for much less on the resale market. If you keep it you probably just wasted 8.8K

I see on eBay 4.3K for 176K points in MB right now. Seems you can do better resale

Let us know if you decided to rescind and when you sent your letter in. We track how much tug has saved owners like you over the years. Some of us weren’t so lucky, we found TUG too late

That's what the sales people are skilled at...making you think you're getting the deal of the century. Now that you have time to sit back and look at everything without the sales people breathing down your neck, you'll be able to see things realistically and see that you are not getting a good deal.

Do what everybody else here is saying. Rescind.

Rescind now and do your own due diligence before buying resale. Please reach out to @Grammarhero if you decide to rescind as he keeps track of the savings.

Get out of it while you still can -- if you still can.

Nothing that the timeshare companies sell at timeshare company prices is worth the money. That goes for HIVC & Orange Lake along with all the rest.

Buy timeshares resale. Save thousands of dollars on the same thing as a full-price timeshare, or the equivalent, or something even better.

Also to add, HIVC Orange Lake is one of dozens of resorts in the Central FL area where you can easily rent from an owner for less than the MFs. So try renting first so you can "try before you buy" and see if owning a TS is right for you.

Rescind sounds liked solid advice. You probably will saved about $20, 000.00 dollars or more.
