We are told that because of our ownership status that Wyndham is going to give us 300,000 Margaritaville points -

We are experiencing a very high pressure sales situation with Wyndham - they are telling us that we might as well get the ball rolling by going ahead and doing a "contract modification" and simply add 300,000 points for 93,000 - telling us all kinds of ways to utilize the membership - that we will be guaranteed availability within 60 days - I find this hard to believe

I mean, they are saying they want to sell you Margaritaville points at their full retail cost. $93k for 300,000 points is pretty steep. Margaritaville owners don't exactly have "guaranteed" availability within 60 days, but there is a type of "reserve" booking window similar to PR where Margaritaville owners have up to 50% of units held back for their booking. Anyway, I'm not sure which part is hard to believe.

I checked in with corporate about the "units held back...." It is not "clear" as to what inventory is held back, especially where we stay for consecutive weeks. when they say "there is a type of "reserve" booking window similar to PR where Margaritaville owners have up to 50% of units held back for their booking I really don't understand what they mean. I know of owners that have Presidential Reserve that claim the inventory is just not there. another item of concern is the sales team is saying Wyndham is going to be giving us 300K points in 10 years - so why would I buy now if they are going to "give" it to us.....and by the way its available for Founders only (wink wink)

True, but less ridiculous than the guy who was offered 300,000 points for $100,000 that would save him $40 per month in maintenance fees.
