New Program or new scam?

We got approached by a company that claims can help us to eliminate maintenance costs because of COVID or help us get out of our timeshare contract. During the meeting, we said we are not interested in getting out of our contract and he offered a "pay as you go" program. So you get 10,000 RCI points every year and the maintenance fee is $250 every year; the maintenance fee will not go up and if you need more points, you can rent more. Switching from our deeded Wyndham program to this pay as you go program is $3067.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Scam...

Very definitely a scam. And that is EXPENSIVE for MF's. Run away from that one. If you bought from Wyndham, you already have access to RCI Points, if you didn't buy from Wyndham, you have access to weeks, which I use way more than I use points because I can enter ongoing requests for 7-night week stays.

I think the $250 includes the rci membership which is around $130 per year so it isn't so bad for $120 for 10,000 but 10,000 isn't enough for most things so they get you with renting additional points for 3-4 cents per point.

If you don't want your wyndham try giving it away or contacting Wyndham's certified exit.
