I would not call this a resort but it might giove us an indication of what the future might hold. This has been announced to MVCI Asia Pacific Points owners in their latest Insider newsletter.
New Macau Member Special
Starting December 1, 2012, you’ll be able to use your Club Points to stay at The Buckingham, Macau (apartments managed by Marriott Vacation Club).
As a Member, you may choose from 1- and 2-bedroom apartments within The Buckingham, a 50-story luxury residential tower located on the island of Taipa, offering upscale accommodations amid exhilarating attractions.
This looks like a 50 floor condo building in which MVCI AP is either renting or has purchased a number of units and put in place their own concierge staff to manage check in and out and provide Housekeeping.
If it is anything like the Empire Place in Bangkok, then the units will be quite nice as serviced appartments go but nothing special. Also there will be no resort facilities other than what might be provided as part of the Condo Devlopment. In Bangkok, there is a pool and a fitness room but nothing other than that.
