New levels ocean pt tour

I think you're off by a factor of 10. United miles are worth more like $.012 each.
Thanks; did the math right but left a zero out on the posting.

OK @Wanderlustgrl @Dean While I believe this info that you have shared is legit. FB community has as you know total sarcasm and doubt until they see if from MVC. Do either of you know when a formal announcement will be published? Some people insist on living with their heads in the sand. SMH.

As you all know I was calling this BS as of last night. Not anymore.
It’s on the website. We drove home and stopped in Orlando there were new balloons in the lobby by the “check in” body snatchers

It seems this has been pulled down? Never mind, that chart doesn't include the new levels.

I could not get this page to come up all day. I either got a blank page or the old tab. Tried Chrome, Edge and Safari. It only finally came up for me using Chrome in Incognito mode. Just posting in case anyone else is having the same issue.

Yeah, bummed by this development as well! However, do we really expect that MVC will be able to calculate these numbers correctly? Do we even know what they mean by this exclusion? For example, two of my enrolled weeks were purchased by my father-in-law before 2010, never enrolled by him, transferred to my wife and me, and then enrolled by us with a very minimal purchase of Club Points. Will the family transfer make these eligible for them to be classified as purchased from or through MVC, or will these be considered external weeks not eligible towards Reserve and Pinnacle status because my wife and I did not purchase them directly from MVC?
But your dad did. I think those are fine but I’m not a pro like some others here

It doesn't matter much really. All that's there is the banner. The chart is still the old benefits without the new levels.

@Wanderlustgrl Can you share the link? Cleared Cache. Don't readily see it?

Get this when I log in

Sad that they are directing owners to the "concierge" instead of publishing tables they clearly have based on what @Dean posted back on page 2. Why not just put all the information out there? I guess it is better to have sales use this as fodder to get people to spend more money.

I guess the question was rhetorical….

Well I have to get my free gift from the concierge at Surf Club.... So I shall see :)

Well I sure hope this doesn’t mess up my plan to retro my recent resale purchase with a small developer purchase. It would get me to chairman unless they take that away.

Sounds like resales may still count up to chairman and only not toward reserve and pinnacle based on what I’ve read here?

Thats what I understand from the chart. Only the last two columns have the double asterisks.

Seems pretty unfair especially for the "resale" points as people who purchased them had to pay the $3 per point to officially enroll the points in the program.
Until we see the details of any changes to the Abound exchange procedures we won't know how this would be applied. It may be like the Sheraton and Westin deployment of Abound where they set a cut-off date for eligibility and after that it doesn't count, or it could be that anything that has been requalified via a direct purchase or by paying the $3.club point initiation fee counts, but the un-requalified mandatory resales for Vistana don't count. Sales will use this wording to try and convince people that resale club points don't work in Abound, but until the exchange procedures are updated, they continue to work.

I'll be at Surf Club in a couple of weeks. If I can get my wife to agree, I'll sit in on a meeting and see what info that have to share, especially about enrolling older weeks with a new purchase. My wife HATES these sales meetings though so I'm not sure I'll convince her. Anyone know the going rate incentive gifts for the sale meetings?

That would be awesome. My wife despises these meetings with a passion too. She never wants to do one again. I am always curious and like the mini reward we get for them.

I have a contact there. I'm sure he can give you enrollment options as they sit now without a tour but without incentives. One of the few honorable people I've found in that world but not the only one.

Jumping back into the thread to give a real time update from Grande Ocean. I checked in on May 1 and it's already started. Instead of the nice little old ladies at the concierge there are now trained sales people and they are putting it on thick. I was told to come down to get a gift (which was a very nice metal beverage container with the logo and "Owner" on it). When I got there the two guys started in about the new re-org and how they were going to focus on customer service and providing more to owners. Of course that went into offering some additional experience dollars than I was originally offered and declined. I can't wait to hear other people's experiences with the new normal.

I think you shared your guys info with me a couple of years ago. I'm sure I still have his contact.

We were offered enrollment with 3000 pts for one week. We got bonus pts and a free week but we are downgrading and the week we use as a week anyway from family

This is the standard, 3000 for one week and so on. Generally buying weeks that qualify is a better choice if the underlying week has a favorable fees ratio.
