We are leaving for Cancun in 10 days and heard someplace about new room

ordered?? or can we get them in Cancun?

Royals?

I orderd them from ISCO in Florida, received them in about 10 days at home. If you call today you might have them.

Are these different than the gold and platinum ones they issued years ago?

Thank you for the prompt reply! I also called ISCO and ordered my new
cards and asked for a rush to be put on them. So hopefully they arrive in
time. I was told The platium cards we had years ago are no longer good
and they would NOT send to new ones to Cancun.
We will be at the Royal Mayan and hope to see you around happy hour.
Where are you coming from? We are from Phx.

PJ;

The Royals changed all door locks over the past couple of years, so all the original ones don't work any longer. Look the same, but have microchip inside instead of magnetic stripe on back.

Do you need a separate card for each villa/week? With the old ones they'd just rekey it at the front desk so that each week it would work wherever we were.....Are they still doing that?

They do exactly the same in that respect. It will work in any door once it has been programmed at the front desk, charge also.

The only kicker is I have 2 sets, as the locks at The Haciendas are not the same as the ones they used to replace all the ones in Cancun!:doh:

It took a couple of years to get our Haciendas keys, but there wasn't any charge for them as they knew they didn't have any available when they started selling down there. $5.00 a piece for the ones in Cancun resorts.

If we can afford to go to Cancun and enjoy...then $5 is cheap. Just a business action. We have had out last one for over 25 years, what a deal.
