Yesterday I received the letter from Spinnaker?Lemonade/lemonjuice/whatever its called with instructions on how to give up the Branson Deed. I chose that option when the first communication went out. In future communications they indicated that if we chose to remain owners we could potentially get some money back if and when the property is sold. So my question is....do I do a Deed Back and get the heck out of Dodge or do I hold out in the hopes that the place actually gets sold and I get some money out of it? What are you all thinking?

So far I haven’t received the letter to deed back, but my intention is to sign it back and be done with it. Maybe I’ll regret it later, but the real estate market isn’t that strong and I don’t feel like taking a chance. Plus, we find ourselves at an age and place were we are beginning the process of winding our ownerships down. This is an easy and painless way to get rid of a week we haven’t used efficiently in several years.

I stayed at French Quarter many years ago I thought it was great It was the year after Celebration City Closed and every day I look at the wooden rollercoaster on the Balcony and if I only went one year earlier. I wish I went to the Roy Rogers museum too because I think it closed that year also. It rained almost everyday we were there but the resort was to me awesome. Plus it was the year the Branson Airport opened with Airtran and we flew free with Wendys cups. Why did it fail?

I have had two close on me and never got a dime. Eventually did a deed back so as not to owe any additional fees. I did get a swap when my Wyndham resort closed, so that is something. The problem with these is if the resort is in bankruptcy there are many creditors ahead of owners and you will likely get nothing.
