TJ's Hot & Sweet Chili Jam. Not bad just on bread, but on a cracker with sharp cheddar, or cream cheese.... Sublime!

Is it kind of like a red pepper jelly? Love that stuff with some smoked salmon and cream cheese on a cracker. That can easily be dinner!!

Well, it's sweet- Cane sugar is the #1 ingredient, but it's heavily laced with crushed red pepper and seeds, so there is definitely some heat. I could easily imagine it with smoked salmon. Or on hot pulled pork. Yum!

Didn't Costco sell a raspberry chipotle spread at one time? This sounds similar. That stuff was good on crackers with cream cheese. Will have to check out this TJ's jam.

We waited for years for a TJ's anywhere nearby. I kept lobbying for one on their website, and eventually they saw the wisdom of building one there. It's 120 miles from the primary residence, but just a few blocks from our 2nd home. (Happy Dance!)

Where in the City of Trees did they put TJs?

Capitol Blvd and Broad. A couple blocks from the Basque Block. Pretty upscale area now. New 5* hotel going up across from it. One of 3-4 in the downtown core along with a 4 story underground transit center under The Grove and Century Link Arena. New Simplot headquarters and 'Jack's Urban Meeting Place' are nearby.

Interesting. That's not where I would have guessed a TJ's would locate. Park Blvd and State Street are more the types of locales I would hve expected.

Before it arrived, I would've bet on Meridian. More centrally located in the population center, but that downtown Boise area, near BSU and scads of new, upscale lofts and condos and young professionals is TJ's target demographic. The place does a good business- it's always busy. We have one of those lofts downtown too. :)
