Are Penthouses @ Quin, and Quin two separate clubs?

They show up as two separate resorts, but have just one HOA. For an owner, this allows one to book either as a home resort or using open season. It results in no upgrades for elites to penthouse units because it's a different resort and no elite upgrades within the penthouses because all the studios and 1 BRs are the same unit type despite the differences among them. The latter doesn't really matter much - they are all nice and there aren't many vacancies.

All that being said, I can see the possibility that they get separated for reservation eligibility in some way in the future. Limiting home resort reservations to penthouse owners would probably help gold season sales. I think the platinum weeks there are close to all sold. No such restriction exists now, though.

And this is part of the reason that my brother-in-law and his wife moved from Silver Spring, MD to Washington state, outside of Seattle. It's cold there as well, but not compared to the DC area.

Sure but you aren't doing outside activities. You are inside at the museums. Walking outside in 20 degree weather is far superior to 90 degrees.

Sure, the museums are good, but part of the charm for me in DC is wandering around outside and seeing the architecture. I’ll easily clear 20k steps each day when in a place like DC. I’ll typically only take uber/lyft from the airport to the hotel, and then walk to where I need to be most of the time - it’s just more enjoyable for me.

But yes, I’ve been there in July and August a few times - 90+ is a killer for being outside - especially in a suit and tie. My favorite time is May.

It is just the name. People complain about the location but you just cross the street and walk through the mall. It is probably a shorter walk to Las Vegas Blvd than some locations inside of Mandalay Bay. The property looks pretty nice.
