Netflix, Redbox and More: What You Need to Know

Do you think it's appropriate to post this on somebody else's public internet forum?

I'd be interested in your reasoning why not to? It's not illegal. I'm not selling the service, or suggesting one over another. I don't consider being able to watch content while on vacation when you can when you're home unethical either.

Similarly, use of a Slingbox isn't restricted based on IP yet it can reasonably be assumed to stream content you obtain in the USA outside its borders without any obvious restriction. I suppose now someone will chime in and say that I shouldn't suggest alternatives on how to stream outside the country on TUG...

Another option for streaming if one is a DirecTv subscriber is to pull content from their site. It's a good way to catch up on missed episodes of TV shows. I can stream to my Nexus 7 via their Android app.

The people who shared MP3s using NAPSTER thought it was funny, too, until the record companies came after them. And that was back in the 56k modem days. You really think the likes of Universal and Fox and the TV networks won't do anything about illegally streaming their video? And whether they do or not, it's not a good idea to put TUG in the position of being a source for how to do things that are illegal. You may think it's funny - I don't think it's right.
Two TOTALLY different situations. Sharing MP3s was copyright infringement and clearly illegal. Can you please give me a reference where using an IP spoofing service is illegal?

If a person has the right to legally watch content (i.e., a subscription, etc.), then what makes that person using an IP spoofing service illegal? There are several reasons people use IP spoofing services, with privacy being a top reason.

Comparing this to illegally sharing copyrighted MP3s is laughable.
