Net neutrality or not is a double-edged sword. An example of why net neutrality is unfair is that if I start a mobile phone company called XYZ and can brag that my network is fast and reaches all urban and suburban areas. In reality, XYZ company did nothing to install those network but is merely using Verizon's and AT&T's network, marketed as though XYZ owns such a wide network. With net neurtality in place, Verizon and AT&T would tend not to further invest in networks since it is "free" for their competitors to use. The other side of the coin is if net neurtality is reversed, each company who owns their network can restrict other providers from using theirs. Consumers may feel that they are the losers either way.
