Earlier I posted asking about specific resorts I was trying to exchange into. I'm still on the waitlist for those. Thought I'd ask about some others. If anyone can give me some info about them, I'd appreciate it.

Scottsdale Links Resort
Orange Tree Interval Ownership

Also, how far is Tombstone from Phoenix?

Thanks!
Terri

Tombstone is in Southern Arizona. You might be better looking to trade into Tucson(since you seem to be leaning towards golf properties, try Starr Pass.) There is plenty to do in the Tucson area. It's been awhile but I think the two resorts you mention are ok for a couple. They were nice but I don't remember being impressed with their unit size and I had the impression there weren't many 2 br (it's been a while and my memory is not always accurate-read the reviews). Could have been the lunch I had, though.

Thanks. I need to be in Phoenix area because I'm doing the Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon. I hoping my wait list comes through for my original choices, but I just want to be prepared, just in case.

Was also looking at the Cibola Resort and Spa.

II was recently (last week) offering an AC for booking a getaway or exchanging into scottsdale links. Not sure it is still available or when you want to travel, but as of last Sunday, they still had ample weeks available.

For your purposes I would suggest location would be most important. Thus I would take Orange Tree first. Cibola (newest and probably nicest of the ones you listed) would be too far from the race. Links is too far north for your situation. If you are a golfer Orange Tree is a great golfing experience. If not, it is really a nice quiet resort in east Phoenix.

We've been to Tucson numerous times for spring training baseball but I was looking at the Phoenix area for next year since it looks like there is currently some availability showing there. Has anyone stayed at the Scottsdale Links resort recently that would care to comment on it? It has some mixed reviews but they are all fairly old. The most recent one is from a May, 2007 visit and many or the reviews date back to 2005 and earlier. I did a Google search of the forum and didn't come up with anything.
