Need Information on Ziplines

I would like to experience a zipline tour somewhere in the next couple of years (before I get too old???) We were going to do it in PV, but it sounded like too much hiking and climbing.

Are there any "easy" ones? I know they have them on Maui and Kauaii and Costa Rica.

Belize has a good one and after you can cave tub, we did it with our son had a blast. You can stay a few days in the jungle ( try looking up Jaguar Paw) and then head to the coast save a lot of travelling time.
 
The hike to ziplines on Maui was leisurely and not difficult. The Costa Rica one was a little more strenuous, but there are several there and they may vary in difficulty.
 
I am a bit wimpy :eek: and was fine doing the zips above Kaanapali in West Maui.
 
I just found out that they opened a Zipline at Lake Tahoe CA in March this year. I was looking for gondola rides and happened upon it. We are going to go this weekend and try to get on. You can't buy tickets online or on the phone, but must be there to get them. It is $30.00 for the gondola ride and $30.00 more for the zipline ride. I'll post more when we get back.

In Maui there are two owned by the same company-one is a 5 line near the crater and the other one is an 8 line in Ka'anapali. This year we did the 8 line. It was lots of fun.

Read the safety ratings for that company and how the lines are secured especially outside the US. Wear dark clothes and dark sneakers because part of the adventure is walking and you do get dirt on you. In Maui it was red dirt so wearing light colored clothes is not the best thing to do. Wash the clothes right away.

We are in our 50's.
 
Heavenly zipline @ Lake Tahoe

We saw this when we skied last April. IMHO, it looked pretty lame, but doing it is one way to try ziplining. When we zipped at Cougar Mt in Whistler, there were 5 different lines that became progressively more challenging and crossed some incredible valleys. $60 for one zip seems pretty steep to me (no pun intended).
