I know where it is located. It is across the street from the Gulf, and right across the street from Shoreline towers where I stayed in October. The outside looks well maintained, but I have never stepped foot on the property. It is in an older section of Gulf Shores where everything is low rise (maximum of about 10 stories), and this section of Gulf Shores is much less crowded than the area from dowtown toward Orange Beach with the 20 plus story mega condos. It is only a couple of miles to the main strip with stores and restaurants.
If you are going in summer or early fall you will love this area. The beaches are as pretty as I have seen anywhere. There is plenty to do and lots of wonderful seafood. There is a huge waterpark a few miles from the resort, a very large outlet shopping center about 5 miles away, numerous putt-putt courses, and lots of fantastic golf. The area has plenty of activities for young and old, and of course days can be spent on the beach without ever leaving.
You will be glad you came to Gulf Shores, I just can't tell you if you will be happy with Village by the Gulf. Hopefully others will have stayed there or are owners and can be of more help to you.
