Need help using my first AC

I have an AC that will expire the end of August. Every time I speak with II and try to put a request in using my AC, I am told that the resort I am trying to get is not eligable using my AC. I am confused becuase the fine print on my AC says only my home resort and the Four Seasons timeshares are ineligable. I am not trying for any of these resorts nor am I trying to use it for any blackout periods. My AC is from my unit at Westgate Lakes. I know that others have used ACs to get weeks in 5 star resorts. Are all AC's not equal?

Also, If I cannot use my AC, am I allowed to trade it to someone else for use of their timeshare or is this a no no with II like renting is?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

The paper AC document should show a grid on the back that illustrates what areas and what month you are allowed to travel. The resorts in those areas will be available based on supply and the trading power of the AC. In flexchange most of these restrictions are lifted.

If you are doing this on line, you will see the same grid when selecting the unit and requesting a trade.

First, all AC's are indeed not created equal. Your AC will tend to trade similar to the week for which the AC was given. Also, as stated, you can only search for weeks within the grid on your unless you are within the 59-day Flexchange time-frame.

BTW...no...you can not trade your AC for the use of someone else's timeshare. You can however book a week and obtain a Guest Certificate for friends and family.
