I've been happy with my $12/month Hulu subscription, but I received an offer to try YouTube TV for free for 2 weeks. Since their monthly subscription price is about $50, I was expecting more.

After nearly a week of using, I'm starting to think I must be doing something wrong. Starting with the Home page, there are random boxes of programs, but can't find an orderly presentation to scan.

I'm used to Hulu allowing me to watch most of what I want to see in a logical manner of retrieval. ( with the exception of CBS programming). On You Tube I only see snippets, not full program. For example, American Idol.

Can anyone who has used YouTube TV tell me if I am doing something wrong? I'm about to cancel it, even though I have another week of free.

Sorry that I can't be of help with You Tube TV as I have not used that service but might I suggest you put You Tube in the thread subject?

Once you open the app you should see at the top of the screen, "Library, Home, Live". I think you may be describing the "Home" screen. Scroll to the right to activate "Live" then scroll down to see the channel guide.

We cut our cable bill to less than half and love it! No more paying for extra boxes or dvr. You can watch on up to three devices at the same time and has unlimited recording that is available for nine months. You can also rearrange the channel guide to the way you want it.

I just sent my dish receivers back today.. We tried Youtube TV and like it. You can build a library that acts like a dvr and record all your favorite shows each week. If you are on the live screen and see a show that started say 10 minutes ago, you can watch from the beginning. Still working through everything but so far so good

Our two year price lock with DISH is up in a few months and we also are going to go with YTTV also. We had previously cut the cord with Sling and PS Vue but didn’t like having to have a separate DVR for locals. YTTV eliminates that need.
