Yesterday we attended a sales presentation at Newport Coast Villas. Low preasure, pleasant presentation.

Two offers for 2500 points:

Maintenance 0.41 per pt.

$10.94/pt
$27350
10 pct down
10 yrs @ 10.99 pct (no pre pmt penalty)

$9.83/pt
$24600
10 pct down
10 yrs @ 10.99 pct (no pre pmt penalty)
$325/month

Bonus. 115k Mariott pts OR 2400 destination pts

Dec 21-27 is 4725 pts to stay at ncv. Sunday thru Thurs that week are 465 pts/night. Fri and Sat 1175 pts/night that week.

They would credit us for our current stay. If we returned for encore we would get credit for that as well . . . And i assume our original stay, but not sure.

For our time we were given $100 AE card and offered encore return of 5 nights $999 or 7 nights $1199 (or so)

We did not buy ;)

Credit?

What did they mean "credit for the stay"? Like they would reimburse the points you used to occupy the week? (And give you 2400 points bonus?) Sounds intrieguing if you happen to be planning a points purchase while staying at a high-pts use week. Hmmm.... :)

I am curious what the different incentives are with each price point. You mentioned 115K MRP or 2400 DC points, but that looks like it was listed with the lower priced points option. In my experience at presentations, the higher priced options have more incentives, while the discounted point rate is bare bones no incentives. The discount is the incentive.

I can't remember the exact number (I knew I wasn't going to buy, so didn't pay real close attention), but this is roughly what I was told at Oceana Palms last week:

If you buy < 2000 points
$10.84/pt

If you buy 2000 points you get one of the following:
$9.83/pt or
2600 DC points

If you buy 2500 points you get both of the following
$9/83/pt and
2600 DC points
