My bracket are a total mess.

Now I have Oregon, Kansas, North Carolina, Virginia, Notre Dame, Duke, Syracuse and Indiana or Villanova in the final eight.

Thanks for picking Kansas!!! :). We lived in Lawrence for 4 years and were then transferred to Topeka and lived there until retirement. We came to love Kansas basketball and hope they win it all this year. :cheer:

I am NOW the person whose extended family vacation has been Hi-Jacked AGAIN by the brackets and college basketball games.

Past couple of March Spring Training trips had siblings spending HOURS and HOURS of picking their 'brackets' ... okay, DID NOT MISS THAT 'action' at all this March as both ring-leaders are NOT here for that in San Diego, CA ...:cheer:

But is it NOW WORSE ... HOW can that be? I have my 2 sisters and most of their family ... the NON-GAMING siblings. Except GA TECH (#4) beat who-ever (the #1 rated team) and tomorrow night is playing in San Diego, CA and I (and the siblings) will still be here .. our last night.

My one sibling brought her husband and 3 sons along .. including my nephew who is a GEORGIA TECH junior engineering major ... who is on Spring Break ... with me in San Jose, CA.

THE Brackets .... and another trip to the Southwest (for a wedding of my niece) has turned into NCAA Basketball "EVENT".

Hope they get tickets (the GA student and his Dad) ... the only thing WORSE is if they buy me a ticket to the game.

Linda - GA Tech is playing here in San Diego :D San Jose is quite a ways away...that would be a long drive. No tickets for you though - it's sold out. You're off the hook.

We are in San Diego ... I am not driving, just drinking. ;)

My BIL and his GA Tech son did get tickets for the game ... $15 per ticket brought from the official website when released. They will be there TONIGHT ... the nephew may be outnumbered but it will be a game of the year for him.

It's great to see that you are enjoying your trip! ;) We'll be there too - hopefully your nephew will have fun. It's always a great environment, but Monday night was extra special! I'm glad that they got tickets (what a bargain). I heard that they sold out in less than an hour.

Have you guys gone to the Midway? Or Balboa Park? Those are my two favorite places to recommend. Also Coronado. There's a beautiful sand sculpture in front of the Hotel Del right now. You ought to to go check it out.

Balboa Park is just across the street from the Shell Resort we are staying at. About to go down to the other unit -- to get our game plan in place. I know they are sitting HIGH/BACK in the corner but are just thrilled to get in. As a junior on his GT Spring Break ... he is one lucky "terp" or is it, "bulldog"?.

I might be his favorite aunt for booking this place and forcing his parents to join me after the wedding on Sunday (our sister, the mother of the bride, lives in Ventura Country) for 3 nights before heading up there.

We live Navy & its ships ... BIL spent yesterday AM doing "face time" at "the yard"... on drop in visit.

I’m projecting a 2026 March Madness with half of the top twenty teams losing in the first round.

A few years ago, we had an office pool. One of the secretaries won.
She picked her teams based on how cool their names were.

My mother enjoyed going to the racetrack. There used to be two in the SF Bay area.
I placed my bets based on the horse's name.

Brett, VCU is playing North Carolina in the first round.

I am predicting that Alabama's chance at a win went up in smoke with the explusion. No the other team was going to steam roll anyways.

I learned today that no one has ever had a winning bracket. In 2019, someone’s bracket made it through the Sweet Sixteen; that’s the closest that anyone has come. The odds of hitting a perfect bracket are much, much higher than winning the Powerball.

This afternoon there were two (2) upsets in the first round of the March Madness Tournament.

Someone at UNC is looking for a new coaching job, after that loss to VCU. IMHO

As a Florida fan, all I can say is... Thank the heavens Vandy lost.

Duke, Texas, Illinois, UCLA , Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, and LSU, all looks very strong right now.
