Their story seems to parallel Grand Shores West that was also heavily damaged by the same hurricanes. I also believe Vacatia manages Grand Shores West too. My aunt owns there and I am a member of their Facebook Group. They too had started some roof repairs and got a stop work order from the county.

Nautical watch is the resort we exchanged into and left in the morning. We had a unit that was , I believe, built on what had been a walkway. It was absolutely awful. And that green color of the pool was the same back then. Other rooms were probably better, but the furnishings were discards from most thrift shops.

I don't see how such a structure could fulfill the 50% FEMA requirements to just repair the existing structures. Sadly, they probably need to be torn down. Owners need to look long and hard to see if the desire to rebuild is really there. The problem is that the HOA BOD and management company don't seem to be communicating with the larger set of owners.
