It was just announced on the earnings call that they plan to build a new MVC property in Nashville. Though they haven't actually acquired the property yet...
 
Says 168 units and planned opening for 2027. He did say "Downtown" Nashville - so hopefully not out by where the Wyndham Vacation Club is there by the Grande Old Opry!

Sounds like the property may already be in development- it just won't be acquired by MVW until the developer has finished building the property and is ready to open. (At least that's what I got from his comments.)

Says it will be a Marriott Vacation Club, not Westin like the Charleston and Savannah locations. I would assume it will still be a city collection and not full resort though.

I think I misinterpreted what was said on the call. It looks like it is being developed by a third party developer, so they won't actually acquire it until developed. So it seems the deals are in place for it to happen and it must be progressing faster than Savannah and Charleston which won't happen until at least a year later.

Yes- that is what I was thinking as well. Maybe you can do your highly effective detective work and figure out where it is going to be, if its already in development! lol

I wonder what that fitness center is doing for parking since it looks like this is being built on their parking lot? Perhaps they will have to use the parking lot of the new hotel once it is built. No parking right now though. Perhaps people just walk to the gym?
 
Its amusing to me that these plans lay out the specific types and number and location of plants and trees they will plant and the number of bicycle parking spaces that will be offered! Presumably to comply with some local mandate for each to get the project approved
 
It looks like there will be separate lobbies too. Lobby 1 for the extended stay hotel and Lobby 2 for MVC Nashville.
 
We'll be at the Margaritaville/Wyndham Nashville in a few weeks. It looks like this spot is about a mile on foot. Perhaps I will swing by to see if anything is going on over there.

They said it will be part of their City Collection. Though it will be in the same building as an extended stay hotel. So perhaps the rooms will be similar. More like suites than hotel rooms. Some smaller and some larger.

That is the one piece of hope. Extended stay hotels typically offer some type of kitchen. So if they are already doing the work for kitchens on those floors why not do it for the timeshare units as well. I could live without an oven but at least a 2-3 burner cooktop and at least a 3/4 size fridge would be nice!

I was just trying to do the math- the plans say 168 timeshare and 144 extended stay hotel so that's 312 total units and there are 14 floors of rooms. So that would be an average of 22 units per floor.

Grand Chateau has 21 per floor with 7 villas in each tower per floor. (1-3BR; 4-2BR, and 2-1BR) with 32 villa floors and a total of 651 villas. (Some floors have less due to the Sales Gallery on 36 & 37; and executive offices on 5)

The parcel size of Grand Chateau is 1.08 Acres while Nashville is somewhat smaller at 0.79 acres

So actually it seems there may be room for full villas. Let's hope so!! Would be a fantastic development if they really do offer full villas!

We don't want to forget that technically Grande Chateau could have 28 units on each floor as the fourth tower was never built. I added a screen shot to my prior post. That shows about 24 units on a floor.

Definitely makes me hopeful that it really could be villas instead of basically hotel rooms!

I would assume the timeshare units will be contained to certain floors and the hotel units contained to certain floors. Can’t image they would intermingle them on each floor.
 
We are staying at the Margaritaville Vacation Club in Nashville and decided to swing by the proposed location. There is absolutly nothing happening. It is still a parking lot for the nearby gym. Perhaps they could have this built by end of 2027. We will see.

The location is certainly not ideal. While it is close to Broadway, it is no where near the tourist/historic district that is east of 5th Avenue. You're looking at a 15-20 minute walk uphill both ways. I know I sound like an old person talking about their walk to school in their younger days, but it is literally uphill both ways. There is a downhill too. One will mostly likely want to use rideshare to get around. It seems the Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham has a much better location only about three blocks off Broadway and 5th. Everything is so much more walkable.
