Napa Location?

We attended a sales presentation at Marriott's Timber Lodge yesterday. In the course of trying to get us to purchase more points, the sales person mentioned several places where MVCI is starting to have new locations, including Napa California. He claimed that the resort will be built from the ground up and is now in construction--or at least in earth moving stage and that Marrott has had the land since before the pandemic. I could not get the sales rep to tell me if the resort was in the town of Napa or in another location in the Napa area.

Anyone else know anything about this?

P.S. I only remember one other location he mentioned: Savannah Georgia, which will be a "Pulse" (AKA part of the City Collection).

I'll be listening to the second quarter earnings (which weren't pretty) call tomorrow to see if they mention anything about it. They haven't said anything about it in the past. Only Charleston and Savannah to become Westin Vacation Club and part of City Collection.

I suspect it's another case of the lips were moving. BUT if it were to be true, we will thrilled. I don't drink but love the area.

No mention of Napa on the earnings call or in any of the press release or other earnings documentation. They did mention that they expect maintenance fee increases for the points product to be under 5% for 2025.

So no news on a Napa location. I did hear at a presentation  that they are planning Nashville and Chicago City Collection locations. I've head no mention of those before and doubt we will hear about them in the future. Just more sales BS bluster.

I heard Nashville, Chicago, Seattle, New Orleans, Napa, in addition to the previously confirmed Charleston and Savannah, at a Newport Coast presentation.

Oh and don't forget the one they've been saying they will build in Tuscany for the last 20 years 😜

Don’t forget Provence, The Algarve, Denia La Sella… šŸ¤”

Sales weasel at Marriott Village France told me they have 2 locations with full villas in Central Paris directly across from the Eiffel Tower! Plus Rome, Madrid and Milan as well.

But these European locations are not viewable on the US owners website. The only way to gain access is to sit down for a 30 minute presentation while in Europe.

If their lips are moving…

I am going there tomorrow let see if they will offer me a presentation so I can follow up on this.

When you checkin and go to the concierge they give you a 10% discount card for the marketplace & restaurant on site.

And then a day or two later one of the sales weasels calls and offers to bring you a complimentary bottle of wine. When he delivered my wine he spent about 5 minutes telling me about these other great locations, from the doorway- I didn’t let him in the villa.

I didn’t actually attend a presentation and no incentive was offered to attend one. I chose the white and it was actually pretty good. My wife and I enjoyed it!
