Nanea 2 BR oceanfront view?

Maybe the ones that are classed as OF but aren't really because they are 100yds back from the ocean and have views over the restaurants and pools? Are there 2BR OF, for some reason I thought they were all 3BR?

Here is the resort map - the 3 blue areas are oceanfront. There are 2 & 3 bdm. oceanfront villas.

Somewhere long ago I found a map of the size units and if I remember correctly, all of BLDG 1’s OF are 3 bedroom, the other two buildings are a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom, so by that logic, you have a greater chance of being behind the pool if you reserve a 2 bedroom. Besides the pool, from the outside it appears as though the lower floor of BLDG 4 has an extended balcony. I have only observed those units from the outside and wondered if it was a positive or negative. In my opinion, none of the OF units would be considered “bad” but as with everything, some might be slightly better than others.

This is kind of hard to read, but shows the location of various floor plans:

Looks like the only 6 'true' OF 2BR therefore are the center units in Bldg 8

I don’t agree with that statement. The OF units all are direct forward facing views of the ocean. Yes, those have a pool in front of the unit, but the ocean is still straight ahead. I prefer to be closer to the ocean, but those units are probably still closer than many of the Marriott OF units, and I don’t think the definition of OF requires a specific distance, or no pool in between. I am pretty picky and while I would prefer to be closer, I would be happy with those.

Off course it's all down to interpretation but let's face it they are not ocean "front". They are at best ocean "view", a category that in fact does not exist at Nanea so they just classified them as OF so they could charge a premium. I agree that they are better than some of the OF at WKORVN.

We just spent a week in one of the 3BR units in Building 8. LOVELY!!! There is one 2BR unit on each of the six floors of Building 8. I agree with the posters who feel that these are the only true OF 2 BR Units at Nanea. The 2BR units in Building 4 have to deal with the pool crowd and noise and are not nearly as appealing, though considered "oceanfront."
