OK this is a new one...for a weeks reservation that I'm renting out on Redweek I try to update the form on MVC's site and it is asking for a 14-digit phone number. Any idea what those extra numbers are? Even if you do the 001 at the beginning that's only 13.

That's...odd. 001 1 212-555-1212 gets you out of the US, back into the US, and into a NYC exchange...but why would you do that? And what about countries that don't have a one digit country code?

Can you just add preceding zeros to make 14? Like, 00002125551212?

Or maybe they are counting the dashes, so 1212-555-1212? That doesn’t seem right either.

A 14 digit phone number really isn’t a thing, at least not in North America. And international numbers can be of varying lengths, sometimes even more than 14 digits I think.

MVC IT strikes again…

Well that makes a change, our UK number (0044 xxxx xxxxxx) is 14 digits and often that is not accepted as it doesn’t meet the phone number format requested for various websites / forms

Update: I tried it again and chose the radio button selection that I won't be there, and it worked just fine. By the way the little chat person (not the bot, a real person) was useless and told me to call Owner Services. I replied, "Aren't you owner services???" :ROFLMAO:
