We were enjoying especially nice early fall weather up at Wyndham Shawnee over this past weekend, and as is often the case, I found myself looking at booking additional vacations while on vacation LOL. This habit of booking vacations while on vacation seems to be especially prevalent among timeshare owners in particular it seems. That said, I have had two Thanksgiving waitlist entries that I created many months ago on my account, disappear. I thought it was a fluke, but after having @Richelle check for me, she also noticed that her waitlist entries also disappeared sometime recently. I don't typically check my waitlist entries all that often, but I will typically check about once a month just to ensure they are still there - and that I didn't miss a waitlist comm. I double checked my email and I didn't receive any comms indicating either waitlist became available, nor did Richelle. Both of our waitlist entries happened to be for Thanksgiving week in particular. Mine was at OTA, not sure where @Richelle had her waitlist entries targeted. Figured I'd post this here to see if any fellow TUGGERs who had waitlists could check? I re-created my waitlist entries over the weekend again, but it's dismaying to know that they were either deleted, or perhaps even worse, they actually became available at some point - but I was never sent the emails indicating they were available, and lost them after the fact.

Mine are still there, for January, OTA (coincidentally).

I do this all the time! Usually while sitting on my balcony before everyone else has woken up (because I'm always the first one awake).

Same thing was reported on wmowners.com by some WorldMark owners, but it was about a month ago.
Interesting - it's possible it could occurred a month ago and I just didn't notice until this weekend - I tend to only check my waitlist entries once a month or so.

We had two disappear. Wyndham claims we didn’t respond when they came available. we never received notification in our email. Nothing in our junk email either.

Cruisers do this too.

Just got a phone call this afternoon from Wyndham telling me that "due to a technical problem, my waitlist request was accidentally deleted". I called in and got back on it.

That tells me they observed that they had a problem and actually took steps to try and fix it!

Interesting - I wonder if I got a phone call and just ignored it since that's my MO with any Wyndham calls these days apart from explicit participatory items.

I did get a response back from Wyndham IT that they investigated my two reports of this issue and there was some kind of code logic error deleting a small subset of waitlist entries outside of the 60 day window that automatically removes waitlist entries by design, and that my deletions were caught up in apparently. They were escalating the issue for resolution last I heard - so I'm guessing they are reaching out to impacted owners via phone or other methods to ensure awareness. That's a good thing if that's what is actually happening here.
