My S-I-L is panicked...can't get appointment for REAL ID to fly to see us in two weeks!!

I have been using it for years. I never trust that anyone is going to realize that NEW Mexico is part of the U.S.
I wonder why you never hear about confusion over York, Jersey, or Hampshire

Maybe because those are cities, and are associated with one of the states. You never book a flight or send a package to just York, Jersey or Hampshire. The driver's license wouldn't just say the city name.

I recall reading an article a very long time ago about the post office sending mail back that was addressed to New Mexico because there wasn’t sufficient postage for a foreign country

She went today...took the whole day off......she only managed a Driver's License ID (near Hartford, CT)
(They simply don't tell you EVERYTHING you need). BTW, she has no current Passport.

She is panicking, because the next available appointment is a few days AFTER she has come to visit.

She has her tickets purchased, is interested in acquiring a refund.

I told her that is a poor option. I want her (and me) to concentrate on getting her onto that plane flight, with a guarantee of her getting on the return flight (Savannah) the following week.

Suggestions for her to get through TSA .......especially if she does not acquire a Real ID...thanks.
Did she get it fixed? ❤️🙏

We are also the only state that besides the state name has USA on our license plates.
