While I know it’s never a good idea to say never, I just confirmed what I hope is my last exchange through II. I had a week deposited that I never planned to deposit. The ONLY reason was my wife changed jobs and we didn’t have the time off available. For TWO years I searched for a comparable exchange. Rather than lose an expensive week all together, I settled on a downgrade on both size and quality AND had to pay a $209 exchange fee. Talk about pouring salt into a wound.

There was a time I loved Interval. With patience and flexibility, I could turn a studio into a one or even a two bedroom unit. 20 years later and I’m turning a two bedroom unit into a one. Use to be you could move up in quality. Now I’m lucky to find any quality.

So goodbye II. It’s been good to know you. Fortunately I’m now enrolled in enough internal exchange/reservation programs I don’t need you. Not to mention the internal programs have so much greater flexibility than what you can offer.

I guess when the salesman said that trading up would become a thing of the past he wasn’t lying. It just took a couple of decades before it became truth.

Granted it’s covid but I’m able to convert a small one bedroom into a 2 bedroom In MVC in Aruba.

Without specific information your complaint seems unlikely to me. From my perspective II is great and the fun of the hunt only adds to that. I routinely upgrade. Granted now that upgrade comes at a cost but II is still our main source of trading and vacationing.
Hope you’ll be happy with your internal exchange system.

I know what you mean...I dropped both RCI and interval and swore I was done but then...DS decided to get married on Oahu and I had 6 months to come up with 4 weeks on Oahu, one on Maui and 2 on Kauai ( Honeymoon and who goes to Hawaii for 1 week). So I rejoined Interval and combined with trading places and GPX was able to make it happen. When this Interval membership expires... and it is soon, I will be done with Interval again. RCI hasn't tempted me back in... usually trading places & GPX work just fine

I love II, but I am very unhappy with their replacement weeks. I have a week in a 2 bed at Marriott's Ko Olina for next month, 7/26, which I got 8 months ago with a 2 bedroom Marriott's Willow Ridge. That was a great exchange. Now when I cancel it, I will get a stupid replacement certificate that is garbage. I am so disgusted with those replacements they keep giving people.

I see us eventually converting Willow Ridge to DC. I just never thought I would say that.

Well our replacement week worked out so far, but it did cost more.

We had a studio in Maui for May 8-15, got a replacement week and have already traded back into Maui for late August in a 1 bedroom with the addition of E plus.

I thought the week would be completely lost, why wouldn’t it be, I know the II rules. I am tickled pink the week was salvaged. Now if Hawaii doesn’t open up we can E-plus into something else. What’s to be unhappy about?

is the replacement certificate under the AC catagory? If yes, I was able to get a supervisor to give me back a normal exchange. I have to repay the exchange fee but I’ll happily do that over the worthless AC I was initially given. I have a number to customer service if you need it. It was an internal number and I had to call 5 days in a row to get Someone to answer but it finally paid off.
