A question - We stayed at the Mayflower Pulse (for points) a few years ago and I was pretty discouraged with it. It doesn't sound much better even now.

If we want to go back to the Mayflower, wouldn't we be better off to just stay in one of the regular hotel rooms? We couldn't use points, but they might be an upgrade from the old run-down vacation club property. Any insight?
The MVC pulse rooms have all just been renovated, they are not run down. Brand new everything including the main hallways of the MVC floor (7th), just not a lot of furniture.
Also, unlike others, I would not compare the MVC pulse rooms to the Moxy vibe either. I have stayed at Moxy, definitely didn't get that vibe at MVC Mayflower. We had a very comfortable stay, they just need more drawer space if 4 people are staying in the room.
