Did I miss a post on this, or is this new. Just saw it listed at bottom of the MVC page after sign in and downloaded it. Looks interesting so far, but just started to explore it. I assume they will be developing more functionality for it over time as it doesn’t appear that you can currently make a ressie with it.

Thanks for the heads up. I've looked in the past for an MVC app, and never found one, so believe this is new. Hope it's more maneuverable on my phone than the full website.

Looks like they are taking the superior IT from the Vistana side. I find the app useless for the most part. Until they allow booking new reservations, I just log in through my iPad and iPhone web browsers.

Agreed, looks like you still need the owner website to make reservations, so won't be any real compelling reason to use until then. The one improvement to the owner website is the listing of upcoming and past reservations. Much faster and easier to navigate in the app.

What can you do with it?

Open the App, then make a selection and it will bring you to the site where you have to re log in haha.

As of now, you can’t do anything but view points balances and reservations. You can upload pictures of your vacation. That’s about it.

Looks to me to be very much targeted to sell you tours/concerts/activities associated with your upcoming stays. If you are looking for things to do during your MVC stays, it may be a helpful tool.

The app does have limited functionality at the moment, but I am pleased to see MVC at least finally introduce one.
OK, you can only currently see your details such as your weeks/points ownership and usage, upcoming reservations, resort details...
It is a start though.

In the provide feedback survey in the app, at the end, it asks what functionality you would MOST like to see in the future (can only select one), and it gives you 3 choices, which makes you believe those are potentially in the works. They are....

Chat with owner services.
Keep track of all emails/communication from MVC
Use the app to remotely check-in and go right to my room without having to stop at the front desk.

No mention of being able to make a Ressie via the app, but I did include that in every text box they allowed me to enter something in. ;-)

IOS only, no support for the larger Android ecosystem?
Yeah, that’s what it says in the FAQs in the post above. Missing a big chunk of the population.

It's interesting that the total numbers favors android but spending side favors IOS dramatically. Maybe we could do a poll here as to the % her that are iOS vs Android vs other.

I spoke with a rep today and he indicated that some improvements are in the works. He couldn't elaborate.

Best regards.

Mike

Not available for Androids. I couldn't find it on Google Play.

only for Apple

Appears they still are adding functionality to this. Checked it out today, and they seem to have added Make a Reservation and Pay your Maintenance Fee (both of which keep you inside the app, but appear to be using the MVC website functionality from within the app as the process).

I have noticed that MVC is attempting to add more functionality to the MVC App. In my last couple of stays, I see that the resort activity calendar was available on the app as well as a digital version of the owners discounts listing (discounts at participating restaurants and activities in the area, etc) and a digital owners card to show for the discounts (if necessary).

These are both handy to have digitally on your phone during your stay vs a hard copy version sitting on the table in your villa. Having it available to be viewed on my phone just allowed us to partake in a free s’more offering at the resort, (yummm) which I would have missed if I was just relying on the hard copy.

You can… click the Ownership option at the bottom. Though, I believe it just triggers the search from the normal website after you make your selections.

Got it, yes it seems to open the website search. Wouldn't it have been more efficient/faster to search from the app directly?

We are talking MVC IT here. ;-)
