We are considering entering into MVC Asia Pacific by purchasing 65.000 points in the resale market.

As we understand, there are three levels within MVC AP: Standard, Premier and Premier Plus.

Will we gain full Premier Plus status with the purchase of 65.000 points, even we do not purchase directly from Marriott or will we get the same status and benefits as if we bought the points directly from Marriott?

Thank you

Before you buy into the AP Points ask yourself what you want to do with them. If you are looking to use them to go to Phuket Beach Club on an annual basis then buying resale weeks at PBC wouldbe a better and more cost effective option.

Since a week at PBC requires 32700 AP points to book I would suggest that you should buy 66000 that would get you 2 weeks in Plat season. and also put you at premier plus status.

Buying AP Points on the resalemarket would be a lower cost but you should check with MVCIAP to ask if resale points alone would count for Premier plus status.

Buying 66000 AP poinbts from MVCIAP will cost around $80,000 US.

Hi,

Yes I think that 65.000 points cost 85.000 USD. I can get those on resale for 25.000, so that is my plan. I have tried to ask Marriott, but they do not respond :(
