Has anyone done this? Had 2 or more contracts with either different co-owners or some owned singularly, some with other family members as co-owners. Just curious as to what complications can come up. Lets say some may be 2 different contracts with same resort.
Of course haven't done it yet, but thinking of it, for no special reason other than family member doesn't want in on this one.
TIA

Absolutely. It's very common. (Sometimes even by accident, misspelling of a name, middle initial, full middle name, etc.) It just adds to the owner list in the drop down box. Each owner has access to all the points.

I have a number of contracts but only have my adult daughters on two of the small ones to give them the maximum flexibility - those are the only two they would be responsible for should I expire before my points and contracts do. (LOL...timeshare gallows humor).

Short answer - yes, you can do this, it is no problem at all. No requirement to take title the same one for all the contracts, just need to have one owner in common.

The problem will be with the exchange companies. If your units are titled to different groups of owners, each will need a separate membership in II (and I presume, RCI), one for each form of title.

Another problem may occur when it comes time to sell. If someone doesn't want to sell and you do, what do you do then? Suppose the other owner doesn't want to buy you out and won't take it even for free how do you remove your name from the deed? This is unlikely to happen, but stranger things have happened...
