Signed up for the fall megabonus. It seems the higher you go in elite status and the more nights you have, the harder they make it to get the bonus. Last year it was 5000 points for every 2nd Visa paid stay, two years ago it was every stay. This year, being gold, it is 5000 points for every third Visa paid stay. :annoyed:

I'm disappointed in this promotion. I've booked 2 of the 6 nights in the Grand Flora in Rome as paid stays because point stays weren't available at the time of booking. I've got another paid stay coming up in February but that's after the promotion ends. The break even point for the 5000 points for me is a $62.50 additional paid stay to bring me to 3 stays to qualify. Not much of an incentive IMO.
