As an entry into our phase 2 of the TUG marketplace revamp, we are now focusing on how listings are displayed via searches to those looking for timeshares for sale, rent and exchange especially with all the different flavors of point systems that exist these days.
Our first change along this path is a better incorporation of classified listings for resorts that are associated with point programs providing MORE visibility on listings for points listings within that resort point program. Basically we will now have ad listings sorted by two categories, one for listings at that specific resort, and alternative listing results within that same point program.
It is our hope that adding this feature will provide even more attractive options for folks browsing the TUG marketplace and classifieds and make other points based listings more visible!
A great example of this can be seen when browsing HGVC Kings land (although you can pick any popular point system resort as an example)

previously browsing this resort would only result in 9 listings (folks who specifically posted resale/rental listings for kings land) and now those still display at the top like normal, but the marketplace will now display additional listings below that for HGVC points.
This should provide two immediate benefits:
1. providing a large selection of additional options for potential buyers and renters if they do not see an existing listing at this resort they are looking for!
2. providing extra visibility for TUG members who have posted points based listings as they will be displayed on all resorts within that same point system!
*note that this new feature ONLY impacts those resorts specifically linked within our existing defined points programs, so please let us know if we have missed some...or if some are mis-categorized!
this is only the first step of what we hope is a tremendous improvement in the TUG marketplace for 2023, and given the two benefits above we hope to attract more owners posting their listings on TUG as well given ad credits are still free with membership!
making it easier to find resales and rentals should certainly translated into more successful resales and rentals!
