I took advantage of the bulk deposit yesterday and booked two weeks. Knowing nothing about this resort I was disappointed to learn that it does not have a full kitchen and in suite laundry.
The layout appears to be three hotel rooms in a row. Is this a converted hotel?
I can't find any recent reviews about the condition of the units in this section, but older reviews were not all that favorable.
My husband is thinking we should cancel as we don't want to be disappointed.
Any information would be appreciated. I have a few hours to cancel.

Aloha!

Wow, congrats on booking one of the most in-demand resorts in MVC's entire collection! I've owned at Disney Vacation Club for 2 decades and would easily put this resort against most of Disney's. It is drop dead gorgeous and the location is wonderful.

The older towers at MOC (sorry I am not familiar with the II codes for any resort) are indeed converted hotel rooms. They won't have a full kitchen but a kitchenette. But please do not let that put you off. They are roomy and most have at least a good view. The former GM did have a very nice communal kitchen put on ground level if you were to need more than your kitchenette requires, and don't forget about the wonderful grills on property. you confirm for the older towers?

There are also 2 new towers, Napili and Lahaina towers and these 2 were purpose built so they do have full kitchens.

How much do I love this property? Even though I own a good sized membership with DVC, we bought into the Napili tower in '09 from Marriott and have just added on a resale week. This is a truly wonderful resort!

Thanks for the heads up!
We will keep the reservation. Hopefully, we will get a unit with a nice view.
We don't like to eat out all the time, so we will have to try to manage with the barbecues and be creative with meals.
We look forward to enjoying the amenities at the resort and exploring the area.

Wow, that is fantastic -- congratulations on the great trade and I hope you enjoy your time at MOC. I echo the comments of others, this is a well done hotel conversion and it's a great property. Enjoy your trip!

Best,

Greg

If you'd like a visual preview of MOC, check out my picture link below...

Thanks for the lovely pictures. The scenery is spectacular!
We got reasonable flights from Toronto today, so we're set to go!

If you don't mind me asking, what month/year is your reservation?

A 2 BR! You really did well and the resort is very nice in a great location with a nice, long beach. My suggestion is to visit the Haleakala Crater too. It is a beautiful drive up there plus so much else to do on this island.

Yes, we think we did well, trading two bronze deposits for this exchange!

Thanks for the suggestion. We will definitely go there.

Thanks BocaBoy!
I'm sure it was just a fluke.
Thanks to the Tugger who posted the Spring bulk deposit.
I was surprised to be able to get the two weeks with my Barony bronze deposits.
