Monte Carlo Construction

Hi all...My friend is supposed to be traveling to Vegas to stay at the Monte Carlo, but she heard that it's not so nice these days due to construction. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Advice please....

THANKS!

:wall:

The Monte Carlo is a bit under construction, because of the City Center Project and other things. The MC parking garage is gone, so there's limited parking available. Also, the pool area is under construction and closed until early spring. And there's some construction going on in the food court area. I'd wait until late spring or early summer to stay at the Monte Carlo.

I've read about some of the problems at this web site http://www.lasvegastalk.com . It's one of several forums discussing Las Vegas.

Doug, are the one and same on cruise critics too? I just started cruising this past year. We were just in Vegas at the Jockey from the 6th to 18th.

I am the same dougp26364 on cruise critic. We're taking a year or two off from cruising as we recently purchased another timeshare and I'm using that money to pay for the timeshare.

However, our daughter has decided she's ready to take an E. Caribbean cruise again so, maybe for 2008 we'll use our HGVC points for two years to offset the cost of a late fall/early winter cruise.
