Monarch Refurb

I just got a trade into Monarch for Thanksgiving week 2013 using a studio.

The MVCI website says there is construction work going on now thru March.

Does anyone know exactly how extensive the villa refurb will be and will all units be done or only certain buildings.

Thanks for the link. I read the 2 most recent owners' association newsletters and found the following:

"Villa refurbishment will begin around Thanksgiving 2012 and take several weeks to complete—mostly during maintenance weeks to minimize guest impact. The biggest change will undoubtedly be the removal of the large soaker tubs in the master bathrooms, which have become extremely difficult to maintain because of their age. The space will be reconfigured to add new large, modern showers in that footprint and convert the current small shower stall into additional storage."

Plan to do one building at a time until all completed. Looks like soft goods will be replaced. Color pallet/fabric examples are shown.

We own at Barony and will be there for spring break, but are looking forward to being at Monarch and Sea Pines for Thanksgiving since we got it with a studio unit.

We bought a Monarch off-season week, just last year. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Hope to soon.
