We have not been to the big Island for a few years and would like ideas for moderately priced restaurants. Under $60 for two for dinner without drinks. We know there is the 150 club still in existence. This is Costco's Polish and drink $1.50 special. I overheard one of the locals saying he was meeting someone at the 150 club and found out what that meant.
What are some other reasonable places or really good Happy Hour appetizers?

Are you looking for specific areas of the Big Island? We have several favorites depending on where you are looking.

Kona Brew Pub - you can certainly get a pizza, and even add a salad, for the price you're looking at

Café Pesto - there are two locations, one north of the Waikoloa Resort area in Kawaihae Harbor and one in Hilo

Are you looking for more "club 150" where we eat for $3 for. 2 people or "a reasonable" price of $30 each? Seems a great difference and we, at least, do not consider a $30 meal as reasonable". It may be for some, but not us

We were heading back to Kona from Captain Cook and stopped at a food truck with bbq dealio. They bbq chicken and ribs. Its a little place off the main hwy. I think its about $10 for a combo plate and we ended up taking over half of it with us to the resort.

We liked LuLu's, Lava Java and Hugo's on the Rocks. All casual and priced
Pretty good. We even had a burger and Poke at the Royal Kona. The Royal
Kona had the best Mai Tai's I have every had, so far.:D

I second the Cafe Pesto.

When you north to Hawi, go to the Bamboo RestUrant. The atmosphere us grear. Call to see when they have live music too!

Absolutely!

Just be sure to check they are open. We've gone up a couple of times and found them closed.

Yes, I think it's Monday they are closed or is it Tuesday. Does anyone know for sure?

The guy cooks good BBQ on the corner in Hawi, its just a shack and a few picnic tables.

Also try the Fish Hopper, downtown Kona. We get a table right along the street when there is a special parade on....easy to watch it and enjoy the food

Actually, there are quite a few more reasonably priced restaurants in Kona. When you get into the Waikoloa Resort area, or at any of the big resorts along the coast, they get more pricey. There are some reasonable restaurants in the Kings and Queens Shops in the Waikoloa Resort.
