MMO next summer match

I put in a request Saturday, and matched today to a 2 bedroom/3 bath unit at MMO in July 2012. Experts- please tell me what you know about the unit, and what to expect.

Wow -- you scored -- that's a great trade (assume Monarch for the MOC?)

MMO is a great property -- I do not know what your view will be but you will enjoy your trip. If you go to II History and look at the unit code, we can help you figure out your view. I own there and love it.

MMO is a converted hotel, so you have three hotel sized rooms, which is why there are three bathrooms for the two bedroom property. It only has a partial kitchen (meaning no oven, and a bar size refrigerator), and it has shared laundry facilities. Those are the only "negatives" that I am aware of.

You will have a wonderful time, do some searches for Maui Ocean Club on this bulletin board to learn some more.

Yes, I did use Marriott Monarch Memorial Day week (last May) for this exchange. I was surprised it matched so fast. Then, I realized it was a partial kitchen unit, but I have heard there are lots of gas grills on the property. I prefer that to an oven anyway.
We have been to all the other Marriotts in Hawaii in the past couple of years, but haven't been to Maui in a while. I really wanted to go again. I love Hawaii, and every island. We're going to Kona next April.
I don't have a unit code on the confirmation, and I probably won't get until it gets a Marriott reservation number. The view is not that important because we don't sit in the room.

What is the code for the unit, listed in you II exchange history?
This will tell you your expected (most of the time) view category.

Your II confirmation is pretty detailed with all of the kitchen amenities.

I just expanded my dates search for next summer, based on your confirmation. I would love to have a 2 bedroom at MMO.
 
I had put anytime from the second week of June until the second week of August next summer.
I was very surprised to say the least. I have never had anything match that fast.
We usually get a garden view or partial ocean view at other Marriott properties. I call within two weeks to request the best view possible, and it's really about arriving early.
I looked it says ZZAC.

Congrats! I'm envious, too. For months, I've had a request in II for Maui, Kauai, or Oahu next summer using my 2BR Marbella week and nothing yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed something will pop up.

That is a super great trade in my book, a shoulder season Monarch for prime Maui 2 BDRM. I'm not sure how that could happen because you would figure there would be many other Marriott owners in line for that week, but so glad a Tugger got such a wonderful trade.
 
We have always gotten great trades with our Monarch week from II, and a bonus week. I gave them a 10 week window with no blocked out dates. Of course, I deposit early, and usually request early. I do feel lucky, and perhaps the timeshares gods are smiling on us :D

It's the last summer with my daughter before she goes off to college, and she wants to go to Maui this summer. I got very lucky.
We're going to Kona over spring break with her. She wants to go to KU (Univ. of Kansas) next year :bawl: We"ll only get to see her on holisays if she does.
