I had asked a while back the difference between Manor Club and Sequel and got a lot of responses. We have a chance to choose either one in June 2009 for a 2BR unit. On Interval the "regular" side has available units that are 2/4/6 and the Sequel side has 2/6/8. I am assuming this Sequel unit is bigger and my question is should I go for this unit rather than the more popular regular MMC?

I hope this all made sense!! Thanks.

The Sequal side is not bigger. Most say that the original side feeels bigger due to the layout, but I think they are around the same size. The Sequal side sleeps up to 8 because they have a sleeper sofa in the second bedroom.

If you do not need to used the sleeper sofa, I would take the original side.

The two are within 100 sf of each other. Sequel loses a lot of space because you have an entry way for both the 1BR and the lock off whereas that same space is in the living areas in the original side.

The difference with Sequel is that you get two sleep sofas. In every building except Berkeley you get a window seat/bed in the second bedroom that a child can use as a bed making it a sleeps 7 in actuality.

Thanks guys. Its just four of us so no worries...we will choose the original side.

I did notice the original side had a smaller and larger 2BR. I have not noticed any larger 2BR's showing up. Are they noticably different?

Marc,
all of the original side buildings have the exact same layout with the exception of the Berkeley building that was originally built for condos (not timeshares). The kitchens are huge and the bedrooms have walk in closets. There are actually 3BR units on the top floor also.

Each building has interior units and end units on the front and back of the buildings. Ask for a golf course view on the second or third floor. Aside from Berkeley, my favorite buildings are Chesapeake, Governors, and Heritage. With Governors make sure you are upstairs because it is the building with the game room, movie theater, and kids center. It gets very busy on the first floor with all of the people coming and going.

Thanks for the info Matt!

I prefer the original section too and own in both. Have only stayed in MSE once (1 bdrm portion) but didn't like the fact the studio has no balcony. Overall the sq ft of MMC and MSE are pretty close with MMC slightly larger ... but the original buildings seem much better soundproofed. I like being close to the Marketplace.
