We are thinking about staying in Miami a few days after we get back from Aruba before a small cruise out of Miami. Any suggestions on what Marriott to stay at? Is the MVC site close to anything or is another Marriott better?

Thanks!

Try Marriott's Villas @ Doral. Not too far from the airport.....

.

We personally would not stay at Villas at Doral again. It is not close to much of anything, perhaps the airport, but that is about all. It isn't in the best of areas, and really doesn't have many amenities unless you are looking to golf.

Doral is an Industrial Park city with a big Army base in the middle.
Unless you golf or want to be near the airport for some reason I'd stay on the beach instead. :)

I'm not a fan of Doral for the reasons mentioned. If its just a few days you might enjoy the activity of Miami South Beach Marriott...not cheap but right on the water and on a very exciting street to people watch.

The closest beachfront Marriott TS to Miami airport s BeachPlace in Ft Laud...maybe an hour away traffic wise.

You should expand your horizons to include Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, etc. Tons of great hotels in those areas.

We're staying at the Marriott Ocean Pointe in January and flying into Miami because it is much cheaper. We always travel a day before the timeshare reservation starts and we're staying at this Marriott Courtyard because it looks like a good location within Miami Beach, on the water, nice pool and affordable.
