I was looking into an MGV 3 bedroom with 1 week floating (weeks 18-21, or 30-50) for 13k. I think the maint costs are 1.1k.

I'm new to this gig and do not own a timeshare but orlando will be our base for sure as it is within driving distance. Deal or no deal?

Any input would be greatly appreciated..

I woul think you could get one for less. Need to ask CMF what he paid for his gold 3BR (now resold).

The three bedrooms are nice units. educated guess price closer to 8500

Really?

Wow, I thought that would be a good deal from what I saw available on both tug and redweek selling 2br units for 12k.. I will take both of your words for it though, I am the noobie afterall ;)

3BR Platinum

We bought a 3BR Platinum MGV last May (2007) for $15,500. We really enjoy the 3BR. Used all three last year and next will use 2BR and trade the Studio for a 2BR Cypress Harbour in the fall.

Make sure the season you are buying has the weeks that you want to travel in.

The price is too high. You should be able to get a gold week for 8K-9K.

Those weeks are a pretty easy trade. That is off-season, Orlando has too many timeshares during the slower seasons, including 3 bedrooms.
