@dvdnetn You've already been told it is a scam. I just like to dissect it a little to show others still thinking it must be legit why it is a scam.
First off, this scam is something new I haven’t seen before. Most scams are cold calls that claim they have a buyer for your timeshare, at a huge price.
@VacationForever describes how the scam works after the victim is hooked. The scammer randomly picks an address in the US (they are very likely located in Mexico). They also obtain an internet phone number to match the area code of their random city, all to make it appear that they are in that city.
This scam is different. Not really surprised though as the scammers are evolving (in the last year they started calling owners of US based timeshares, no longer limited to Mexican based timeshares). They claim on their website that they purchase timeshares for their rentals. They also state that they cannot buy direct from the resort due “conflict of interest” and that the resort’s “commissions are too high”. Their listed address is in Mexico, not the US. I suspect that the scam will follow the the age old Mexican scam which is to come up with bogus Mexican government fees that must be paid by the seller.
Some quick clues that this is a scam:
Lie #1 from their About Us page - “For over a decade, we have continually refined our advertising and sales services in order to benefit buyers and sellers equally.”
Lie #2 from the About Us page - “Since 2010, over than 4 million users been happily served with our travel services such as; International & domestic air tickets, hotel bookings, holiday packages, activities, excursions and many more services that we have to offer.”
FACT - Their website was created June 2019.
