Has anyone seen Go Adventures Pro by Felimo Travels
I got a few phones calls and emailed me an offer
A really high offer
They do have a web page that rents timeshares and a location where they are buying timeshares
Of course they say it is not a scam
Based on the offer has to be a scam
Any thoughts?

This is a usual scam. They always prey on victims with the high price offers. Once they got you hooked, they will ask you to pay some government tax and processing fees before the sale can be completed. You won't see any of the promised money. Some scammers get people so hooked to their line, that they will keep asking for more and more processing fees. It does not matter what their company is called. They all run the same scam.

Sometimes when I get this type of thing, I string them along and after a while, I tell them to wait while I buy 5 more on eBay to sell them and they hang up for some reason.

@dvdnetn You've already been told it is a scam. I just like to dissect it a little to show others still thinking it must be legit why it is a scam.

First off, this scam is something new I haven’t seen before. Most scams are cold calls that claim they have a buyer for your timeshare, at a huge price. @VacationForever describes how the scam works after the victim is hooked. The scammer randomly picks an address in the US (they are very likely located in Mexico). They also obtain an internet phone number to match the area code of their random city, all to make it appear that they are in that city.

This scam is different. Not really surprised though as the scammers are evolving (in the last year they started calling owners of US based timeshares, no longer limited to Mexican based timeshares). They claim on their website that they purchase timeshares for their rentals. They also state that they cannot buy direct from the resort due “conflict of interest” and that the resort’s “commissions are too high”. Their listed address is in Mexico, not the US. I suspect that the scam will follow the the age old Mexican scam which is to come up with bogus Mexican government fees that must be paid by the seller.

Some quick clues that this is a scam:

Lie #1 from their About Us page - “For over a decade, we have continually refined our advertising and sales services in order to benefit buyers and sellers equally.”

Lie #2 from the About Us page - “Since 2010, over than 4 million users been happily served with our travel services such as; International & domestic air tickets, hotel bookings, holiday packages, activities, excursions and many more services that we have to offer.”

FACT - Their website was created June 2019.

Actually, I was getting many of these scam calls for a Florida-based TS waaaay back in the mid-2000s.

Are there any timeshare companies that would allow an ownership transfer to a corporation instead of an individual? I think most companies got burned by sales to Viking Ship companies that would declare bankruptcy after collection big fees from the sellers. It's been over a decade since we bought Diamond Resort resales. I had to provide a copy of my drivers license to prove that I was legit.

If someone contacts you, tell them you can't trust them unless they send you a copy of their drivers license so you can do a background check on them to find out if they're legit.

I got a phone call from them asking if i received their offer
I said their offer was way too high and it was a scam
They followed up with an email asking to confirm i was not taking them up on their offer
Also in the email was how they came up with the offer. Basically unit rents for 1500 a week time 99 years and then offer 35% of that number

Scammers and crooks spend too much time in a negative vortex. Sad! How successful could they be if focused on doing good?

I would rather fail with honor than succeed through timeshare scams and lies. That being said, I have gained far too much honor through my failures.

Thank goodness TUG provides these posters help and confidence to prevent becoming another scam victim.

Do not e-mail. Do not answer their phone calls. Cut off all communications with them or else you will end up on their "potential victims" list.

Watch how quickly they hang up on you if you tell them you want that massive payment up front for your worthless timeshare...... tell them to send you the 100% of the money now and after 8 weeks you'll send them all the paperwork to transfer ownership.

They'll smarten up and cross you off their list very quickly!

They scammers called me claiming they wanted to pay me for renting my Grand Mayan for $4,000 a week for a special golf tournament. I happened to talk to Grand Mayan a few days later . They said we had a golf tournament 6 months ago , but never in October.
