I am still seeing "not available to your membership" for e.g. CW Anaheim and CW Dolphin's Cove from a Dashboard search for "Anaheim, CA". When searching those specific resorts from their monthly calendars, the same dates are available, though I did not get very far in the booking work flow.

I suspect the issue is related to the fact that these are mixed resorts with both CW and WM inventory. Resorts without WM inventory (e.g. Oceanside Pier, Peacock Suites) do show up from the Dashboard search.

Ha ha it’s online. I tried booking a few days in Seattle Camlin where they have hotel rooms only. The Club Pass fee is only $49 now. Woo hoo! BUT the City of Seattle charges $1,259 in taxes for 4 days. I could stay in a regular hotel for less than that! If Seattle doesn’t get real no one will be going there!

Don’t know. Been looking at some of the other Washington Worldmark resorts. They’re all charging ridiculous resort taxes. I’d rather pay the $99 Club Pass fee which is now $49 but those resort taxes are ridiculous. If ever there was a way to discourage non Worldmark owners to NOT use their resorts this is it! Just looked at 3 days in Leavenworth, WA. No discounts within 60 days AND a resort tax of $544! Do Worldmark owners pay these kinds of resort taxes on Wyndham inventory?? I was thrilled when I thought I could book more reservations near me but looks like we’ll have to limit our usage to Wyndham inventory only. So much for Worldmark!

Maybe @paxsarah can correct me if I’m wrong but I am pretty sure they don’t take the tax until you check in. It doesn’t happen during booking. At least not on the Club Wyndham system.

The better assumption is that Wyndham screwed up the programming. I know, who would think they could make a mistake?

Nope. I’ve booked Worldmark before. The most recent one in Seaside Oregon. They collect taxes upfront. Checked Seaside this morning. It was in line with the usual. The city council in the City of Seattle (and WA state in general) makes some very unfriendly tax policies that is driving some of their biggest businesses, like Amazon, out of the City. They move into the next city down the road to avoid the ridiculous taxes being imposed by Seattle. I guess it’s trickling into the timeshare business as well,

I'm glad Wyndham's website error confirms your beliefs about certain big-city governments.

Again, it's a programming mistake. The taxes listed are NOT those imposed by any city or the state of WA. However, don't let the facts get in the way of your bias.

Rather than vent here, why not call the hotel and ask them?

Transient taxes are quite common. Get used to them.

I'm wrestling with Florida's Sales and Use Tax on short-term (< six months) rentals, which is the same thing with a different label. The rates are nothing like you're seeing but the registration and payment processes are outrageous. Among other things, I have to file every month whether I had a rental or not. Seeing as I might have maybe two rentals per year max, the aggravation outweighs any benefit derived from renting. (I rented one week in Cocoa Beach back in April, probably my last Florida rental for the year.) Also, each county has its own tax rate on top of the state's 5%.

Fortunately, if I go through a rental agent or if the resort itself does the rental, they do the filing and paying. This explains some of what EH retains on the rentals I gave them.
