I am about to spend about 2 weeks in Maui and wanted to ask what's the best Zip line experience for adults? And which company operates the best trip to Lanai?About 7 years ago we went to Lanai with Trilogy which was a great trip all around. I am reading a lot about Paragon too. For those of you who have traveled to Lanai from Maui, what would you recommend? Thanks for you help. Also, is the Elvis show in Lahaina with seeing?

I think Trilogy would be hard to top, but if you already did it, I'd try Paragon.

We did the zipline on Haleakala with Skyline. It was awesome. There's another one on the West Maui mountains, but I doubt it could top the Haleakala course.

Second Haleakala

We were there a couple months ago. Great ziplines.

We've done the trip to Lanai with Paragon and Honolua Bay with Trilogy. The Paragon trip felt more casual and relaxed and we sailed back which was nice. We were also able to do the blue water swim which I thought wouldn't be a big deal but was surprisingly exciting. The food was better on Trilogy and they kept a very close watch on everyone during the snorkel portion of the trip. We were motoring on the whole trip though - no sailing. We have used other companies over the years - these two are definitely the cream of the crop.

We also did the Haleakala zipline and it was a lot of fun. The beginning zips are shorter/easier and you work up to the big zip at the end. When we did it they allowed you to get a running start off the platform on the final zip. I'm not sure if that is still allowed - I thought I read that you couldn't do it anymore. If they still allow it, it is about the most fun that you can have.

Whether or not you sail, or motor, depends on the weather. When I took Trilogy years ago, we motored over (no wind) and sailed back.

Trilogy

We loved the Trilogy sail to Lanai. However, we have not done the sail with any other company. Do not know anything about the Elvis show. We loved the Warren and Annabelle Show.

My wife did the zipline near Makawao, but I don't remember the name of the company. It was very good and the employees were great and added to the enjoyment.

I would also suggest Trilogy for their Lana'i trip. We did it last winter and it was a blast, especially given how many whales we saw back/forth.

As far as ziplining goes, I would actually suggest Kapalua Zipline - unless you're afraid of heights. Some of the lines at Kapalua are very high, and you get reach nearly 50mph. You do have to hike to the towers, but my wife and I had an absolute blast. The views are incredible along the lines.

We really enjoyed Piiholo Ranch Zipline in Makawao. Went with two other couples and had a blast!!! One of the gals in our group was deathly afraid of heights and the guides gave her special attention and made it an enjoyable experience for all of us. She is ready to go again!!
